Description
The Vanderbilt ADS-5200 single door controller connects to the card reader via Data&Clock or Wiegand interface and connects to the AC-5102 central controller via RS-485 protocol.
When the user swipes the card on the entrance reader, the reader will read the information about the ADS-5200 and send the decoded information to the central controller. The central controller will check the validity of the cardholder. If the access is authorized, the controller will send a signal to the ADS-5200 communication unit and command the door to open with the corresponding information.
The Vanderbilt ADS-5200 single door controller will also send information about the lock status (lock is closed or open) at all times
Note: The ADS-5200 does not provide RS-485 communication with the reader. The device supports only Data&Clock or Wiegand communication.
The Vanderbilt ADS-5200 single door controller controls access via door locks or barriers… using an entrance reader. The device has an input to open the door with a door open button, and a 1-contact input to monitor the status of the lock or door (lock is open or closed). The inputs on the ADS-5200 single door communicator are all monitored, ensuring that any loss of communication is reported or alerted to the system.
The ADS-5200 single door controller has 2 programmable Auxiliary inputs to monitor the system in other aspects/purposes: cabinet doors, forced switches or motion detectors. The device also has a programmable Open-Collector Auxiliary input to control lights, sirens, or other similar devices when the system is compromised.
The ADS-5200 is fully upgradeable, using the latest Flash technology, easily upgraded via firmware, to operate in desired modes, allowing for reprogramming and interfacing with other Vanderbilt security systems, to provide customers with a complete, scalable security solution.
